Politeness with variety of creatures:

If Islam has prohibited the Pilgrim from cutting down trees and hunting animals, and prohibited him from quarrelling and arguments with others verily, in that is training for the Muslim on how to relate politely with varieties of creatures, and Islamic harmony with members of his environment even with non-living creatures when the pilgrim kisses the black stone or points to it. “In this blessed journey, a person learns how to forfeit his pride and his dominion in this universe for the lowest variety of creature-non-living things- to kiss it and even compete in doing that. Thus, no one is personally great rather; true greatness is to make your choice in concordance with the wish of Allah.

Understanding scale of preference:

This is obvious from the saying of Allah: “hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj.” (Q2:V197). Also from the hadith of the Prophet-peace be upon him- when he was asked “which of the deeds is better? He said: “believing in Allah and His messenger” it was said to him: then which? He said: “then striving in the course of Allah” it was said: then which? He said: “accepted hajj”.
This understanding is known as understanding of the levels of deeds. This is because a Muslim knows that deeds are of different levels in terms of their importance and preference in reward and virtue, and that every deed has its relevant time. Thus, he gains time management skills in every deed. Hence, it is not permissible to place supererogatory act above obligatory act.

Development of the spirit of discipline:

Indeed, it is obligatory upon the pilgrim to perform the pilgrimage in an atmosphere of discipline especially considering the fact that this blessed journey starts from designated places called meeqat. It is not permissible to pass it without taking the ihram. In that is training for the Muslim that every act has rules and regulations and every matter has limitations which must be considered. This sense of discipline is one of the outstanding mark of Islam which a Muslim is trained to have such that it makes used to obeying rules and regulations.

True hajj and the philosophy of change:

Since hajj is a spiritual act of worship, there must be elements of truth and sincerity so as to actualize its objectives which includes freeing the Muslims from backwardness which has taken them behind other nations of the world. No doubt the obligation of hajj is an opportunity to actualize civilized change starting from true unity of the Muslims and mutual understanding over their common fate in working to face the challenges of Jews and Christians which is threatening their existence and future.
In this educational school, they learn the importance of rules and regulations, and they learn how to work together
