38- Getting children accustomed to fasting: Rubayyi’ bint Mu’awiz narrated that “…so we used to fast and make our children fast (and when they are hungry) we give them toys made from wool”
39- Remembering Allah after obligatory prayers: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “whoever glorifies Allah after every prayer thirty three times, praises Allah thirty three times, and says Allah is great thirty three times, that is ninety nine times then says there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone who has no partner, to him belongs dominion and praise, and He is capable of all things, his sins will be forgiven even if it is like foam of the sea”
40- Observing the taraweeh prayer: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “the best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer”
41- Hastening to break the fast: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “the people will continue to be in good as long as the hasten to break the fast”
42- Breaking the fast before the prayer: the Prophet-peace be upon him- used to break the fast before prayers”
43- Breaking the fast with dates if possible: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “whoever finds dates should break his fast with it and whoever does not find dates should use water because water is purity”
44- Observing the supplication after breaking the fast: whenever the Prophet-peace be upon him- breaks his fast, he used to say: “the thirst is gone, and the veins are replenished, and the reward is certain by Allah’s will”
45- Making supplications when breaking the fast: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “the person fasting has a supplication that is not rejected”
46- Making supplications generally very often: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “I am as my slave expects me to be and I am with him when he calls me”
47- Taking the sahur: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “take the sahur, for in the sahur there is blessing”
48- Giving praise to Allah after eating and drinking: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “Allah is pleased with His servant when he eats or drinks and praises Him for it”
49- Providing food for those who fast: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “whoever provides food for a fasting person will have the equivalent of his reward without that reducing the anything from the reward of the fasting person”
50- Striving during the last ten days of Ramadan: the Prophet-peace be upon him- used to strive during the last ten of Ramadan as he does not in other days”
51- Observing ‘itikaf (spiritual seclusion): the Prophet-peace be upon him- used to observe ‘itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan till his death, then his wives observed ‘itikaf after him”
52- Giving out charity: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “the best charity is the charity given in Ramadan”
53- The virtue of charity generally: the Prophet-peace be upon him- said: “charity extinguishes sins just like water extinguishes fire”
54- Charity of one with little: the Prophet was asked: which charity is better? He said: “that which is given by one who does not much property. And begin by giving to your dependents”
My beloved ones in Allah, there are still many doors of blessings in Ramadan which we need to open and enter them so that we can benefit from the sweetness of obedience and faith in the hope that Allah will make a way for us through these door to paradise and save us from hell.
