All praises are due to the Lord of creations, the Knower of all that is hidden, the one who sees intentions and what is in the mind. I glorify him for all His great favors. I bear witness that no deity is worthy of worship except Allah who has no partner, and I bear testimony that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O Allah, send your peace and blessings upon your servant and messenger, Muhammad, his households and companions.
Verily, the Month of Ramadan is the month of blessing and benevolence, reward for good deeds in it are doubled, and ways of gaining blessings in it are plenty. Souls are more energetic in this month than in other months. That is why I have decided to gather for you, my beloved brother a bundle of prophetic traditions and statements of the companions on various acts of good deeds and blessings with special concentration on the most rewarding acts in this blessed month. This is in addition to warning you on the need to be cautious of the obligatory and supererogatory acts of worship. I have tried to be careful about mentioning anything and its evidence from either the Quran or authentic tradition of the Prophet-peace be upon him- briefly so that we gather as many benefits as possible.
