1. Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)],
2. Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure,
3. And when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
4. Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning),
Great punishment for those who decrease in measures and weight, those who when they buy anything of measures and weight from people demand full measures for themselves, but when they sell to people they reduce in measures and weight. So, what about one who steals and embezzles them, and decreases people’s properties? Verily, he is more deserving of treat than those who reduce in measures and weight. Do those who reduce in measure and weight not believe that Allah, the Most High will resurrect them and bring them to account for their deeds?
4. On a Great Day,
6. The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?
Their resurrection shall be on a day of great terror, the day people will stand before Allah, and He will bring them to account for every little and plenty, and they will be submissive to Allah on that day.
7. Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin.
8. And what will make you know what Sijjin is?
9. A Register inscribed.
Indeed, the fate and resort of the dissolute will be distress. And what will make you know what this distress is? It is a permanent prison and a painful punishment. And it is what has been written for them as their fate. It is written and concluded, there shall neither be addition to it nor subtraction.
10. Woe, that Day, to those who deny [(Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)].
11. Those who deny the Day of Recompense.
1. And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience of Allah, the sinner!)
2. When Our Verses (of the Qur'an) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!"
3. Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.
4. Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.
5. Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell.
17. Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!"
There will be great punishment on that day for those who disproof, those who disproof the occurrence of the Day of Recompense. And no one disproves except the unjust one with enormous sins. When the verses of the Quran are recited to him, he says: these are falsehood of the ancients. The issue is not as he claims. Rather, it is the word of Allah and His revelation to His prophet. Indeed what has prevented their hearts from believing in it is that which has covered it from the enormous sins they commit. The issue is not as the disbelievers claim. In fact, on the Day of Judgment they will be veiled from seeing their Lord. In this verse is evidence that the believers will see their Lord in Paradise. Then, verily they (the disbelievers) will be in Hell suffering its heat. Then, it will be said to them: this is the reward which you have disproved.
